As the fort is on top of the Hill. Nice place & attracted by tourists. We beautiful panoramic view of Arabian sea & Kali river is nice one. Nearby resort is there. And Devi temple. Shivaji maharaj visited here. So historical place.

This fort is on the top of hill just before Karwar Bridge. Road is available till the top. Fortification is very less and not maintained properly. view of Karwar, sea is beautiful. Better to visit this place in morning for nice view with fresh air.

It is a small but beautiful fort constructed on the top of a hillock. The front part is green- clean and nicely managed by the resort there. You will get a stunning sea view from the fort esp during sunset time. I went along with my family in my own car. The road is wide but condition is very bad. It is better to leave the car at Durga temple down the hill and trek from there to the fort.

Superb hospitality n an amazing stay. If you are looking for a refreshing weekend getaway to a fort amidst the lush green by the side of Arabian sea n adventurous water sports ,here's your destination. Ghar ka khana, Rustic resort amongst nature, superb sea food , dolphin watching n a trunk full of memories , that's what I can assure you. Thank you Nischin for excellent hospitality.

The fort is mostly in ruins and except for the entry gate and a few remains of the ramparts, a cannon and a horse statue, nothing much is left. However, the view from the top of the fort is amazing and it gives us clear view of the sea and Kali river. The tourism department has a hotel inside the fort but not sure if it is operational. This is one of the few places which you can visit in Karwar.

It is the highest point of Karwar. Fort is located very next to kodibag bridge. The climbing up is a bit tough if you don't have vehicle, the slope is very steep.
The view is million dollars, from Tilmati beach to devbag beach every point is visible.

The Google listing is inaccurate. Once u reach sadashivgad, please ask the locals for the way to the fort. You have to trek a little, around 15/20 mins. There is a temple at the base if you wish to pray.
There isn't much of the fort left, just a few remnants like cannons. The government has taken up the space. And yet the view from the top is stunning. Watching the sun set over the kali River is definitely recommended. If you like nature and don't mind a short hike, then do visit.

The path takes through hillock on a steep road. Vehicle has to move in low gear. At first one is welcomed by an Arch made of laterite bricks. Later on there is a garden. The garden is on a gradient and when one reaches the top the view is exhilarating . one can see Kali river joining the Arabian sea, islands on the sea, road and rail brigdes , devbagh beach and an expansive view of lush green karwar town. Travel tip: the best time to go is in the evenings to watch sun setting in the horizon.

There is not much left of the fort except the entrance gate you see in the picture. The approach road was under construction and so we had to go from the other way parking our car a far away. Go atlast one hour before sun-set or sun-rise so that you can enjoy the view of river meeting the sea is from hill top. Nature lovers and sightseeing enthusiasts would like it. People who hate physical exertion must stay away.

I don't understand how such a historically significant spot can be maintained so bad.
I suggest you avoid this, no point in even spending 10 minutes here.
Place has no proper directions or boards, pathetically maintained.
Locals proudly say Shivaji maharaj visited this fort, I feel it is an insult to this historic personality by the way this has been maintained!!!
