We visited Zone 3, €1 for the car & €1 pp, we also rented a Pedlo for €13 ph which was great fun. The guy in the reception was friendly enough & surprisingly drinks & snacks etc where not over priced. We wished we had brought our own picnic as there are plenty of tables. Quite hilly & no flat... Love this region. Lovely scenery and great for walking/hiking. Plenty of small towns and villages where you can get good local food and drink and at reasonable prices. Plenty to explore.

These stunning lakes are well worth a visit and for us preferential to the chaotic beaches of the costa del Sol for swimming and recreation. We hired pedalos to entertain the kids and at 12 euro for 2 hours it was well worth the money so we could really take in just how beautiful the lakes are, plus the advantage... More

The best view point over the lakes is NOT mirador dos embalses starting at restaurant El Mirador but is Mirador des tres embalses starting 1 km further over the second dam between the Guadalhorce and Guadalteba rivers direction Ronda. There is a sign, you can park there and then you have to take the stairs going up and then you... More

We rented a 2-person kayak for an hour, for 11E - money really well spent. The reservoir/lake was a little low on water, but it didn't detract from the fab experience. The water was quite clear and lovely to swim in, and the huge fish a delight to watch. Apart from the car park charge (1E per vehicle and per... More

Went at the end of September, water was so refreshing. Would recommend wearing jelly shoes, it's quite rocky. Kayaking and pedalos available all day and there are picnic benches and BBQ spots. Perfect day out.

This absolutely stunning area of turquoise lakes set amongst pine covered mountains is a perfect place to spend the day or, as we did, camp for a couple of nights. The facilities are good, we hired kayaks to explore the lakes, the fishing rods got good use (nothing caught though) and we swam in the beautiful water.

Stunning lakes, fun activities including pedalos, kayaks and paddle boarding. We stopped at La Isla Zona Recreativa and paid €1 for the car, €1 per adult and €0.5 per child. Take a picnic and travel light. The walk from the carpark is v steep - I wouldn't take a child in a buggy, but some did. Over the hill there... More
