Was in the area with some time on hand, took the boat to the island with the intention of having lunch and chilling. The line for the castle and gardens was not long so I made use of the opportunity and paid a visit, wonderful...More

Lush Terraces on rock, rising out of the water, colourful, perfect flower beds and lawns, heavily ornamented with chunky concrete statues. Very colourful, decorative, designed with the liberal use of concrete and stones, plants softened the heavy structure in sections, certainly a memorable garden. Expansive...More

Honestly we`ve expected a tourist trap, but it wasn`t. It`s a really nice place to stroll maybe an hour, sit and have a drink or lunch, which by the way was good and not expansive, too. Take the ferry boats. Only I think in Summer...More

Nice spot. Take tour of the palace. Then definitely check out the gardens. Look for the white peacocks. Views to other islands are nice.

Just getting there by boat was a lovely experience. As the Isola Bella got closer and closer in view from the boat, we started to let our imaginations run wild. Once we disembarked and started roaming the island, it felt like we were on some...More

We really wanted to visit the garden... my husband has a bad hip but we still had to walk a very long way through the palace we didn't really want to see, including many stairs, before we reached the garden. The grottos were good! It...More

Lovely little island with winding streets, lots of steps, fabulous Chateau with gorgeous gardens and white peacocks. The rooms are filled with oil paintings, antique furniture, tapestries, and amazing cellars covered in pebbles and décorations. Good restaurants and great views. Really worth a visit.

This private island villa is one of the most stunning palaces with gardens we’ve ever visited and well worth the short ferry ride from Stresa and €16 entrance fee. As soon as you enter the villa, you’re blown away by the original lavish decoration including...More

Sorry I didn't reply earlier, I must have misplaced the "notice" from TripAdvisor. And sorry, I don't have the answer for the leather store.

My apologies for not answering. I'm obviously not getting notices when questions are posed - I need to fix that on my end I'm sure. We toured via water taxi from one of the hotels along the shore.
