Parque D.Carlos is an amazing place with unattended old-looking Castle, especially in the evening when light is mild and being close to the Castle is just a magic.

You can boat in summer on a lake around white and black swans, ducks, turtles. You can have amazing Galao coffee afterwards in the nearest coffee place.

Park is very well maintained with a lot of different trees and blooming flowers. Kids can enjoy the playground. Adults may play tennis. Very beautiful place to come.

Lovely park in the heart of Caldas da Rainha for a walk followed by a drink or a meal at Cais do Parque. There is a tennis club within the park and ponds with black swans. You can also walk your dog on a leash.

Beautiful park with so many birds, black swans, fascinating trees and lovely atmosphere, many pick nickers and finally the old spooky building reminding us of Hogwart.

Old style park -- we can just imagine the queen promenading through, or riding her carriage. It has wide allées and a swan lake and ducks and statues and flowers and huge trees and sidewalk cafés, and a deserted gothic-looking hospital building. What more could you want?

We stayed in the Sana Hotel opposite this park and to be able to simply cross the road into this park was a lovely surprise! It is almost a secret place, no crowds, but such a fabulous, quiet, romantic setting for a walk, a picnic or just to get outside and breathe. A ´Must See´ place.

The Parque and the 'old clinic' are a bit 'creepy' and need restauration . Time stood stil ,even in the 'new' clinic. Around the park there is a 'ceramic' factory, and several musea that are free entrance and worth it to visit. Very kind and helpfull people.

During our two weeks in Caldas da Rainha, we spent many afternoons in the park. Some of our favorite activities: feeding the beautiful swans, sitting on a bench and people watching, sitting in one of the cafés in the park sipping a coffee or a beer, listening to young people making music, and walking through the park.
