A beautiful baroque cathedral which is amazingly well maintained. It was visited by pope John Paul II in 2003 and a bronze statue was erected in front of the entrance as a reminder of this event. The high altar is a masterpiece of baroque style, a must see.

The cathedral is a delight: the baroque is restrained verging on rock co. The building gives a real sense of being in the Slovak Rome, but of course historically the town was Hungarian. Not to be missed!

The most beautiful early baroque church in Slovakia. Stunning interior. Shortly after finished restoration works. According to my opinion it should be on the UNESCO list.

Another beautiful church in Trnavna that it's worth visiting. Make sure you have a camera for pictures. The churches are all a bit run down and that makes them just perfect to travel back in time.

I got to the cathedral at noon and it was closed from noon to 2:00. Later, I read that this is from May to September. I returned at 2:00 and was glad I did. The wooden altar piece is rare and was spectacular. It was off season and several of the other churches including the Basilica were closed except for... More

This church is one of many in Trnava, but is the most extraordinary. It has been reconstructed recently. There are wonderful paintings inside, which make you feel you are in Italy or Spain. There is no obligatory fee to go inside.

Not much to say that that it is a very beautiful church that is worth your time when you are there and if it is open. So have a look.
