The tour centers are asking 3,000 (per boat) for the island hopping! And on top of that, 100 per person for environmental tax. We were only 2 persons, so we asked if we can join other groups, they said they don't accommodate joiners anymore due to covid. I highly doubt that! I think each boatmen are waiting "in-line" for their turn to take tourists and now they want each boatmen to earn each day from the tourists. The more groups of tourists, the more boatmen will be needed! Can u imagine? I think it is unfair! So we didn't do the island hopping. Anyway it is only for this island Pescador.

And also corals are now dead due to the typhoon but they will not tell you anything, of course! All they want is your money, not your welfare! Take note and Be careful!

On the positive side: Nice topography with walls dropping down to -50m, the Skull cave is very interesting.
Good place for freediving for advanced divers.
On the negative side: every island hoping boat anchors on the shallow plateau, all the hard corals were killed by anchors a long time ago. The site if over-fished.. It is be part of the Tanon Strait Marine Park, it has current and it is surrounded by deep water, it should be full of pelagic predators.. But because of constant fishing, it is empty of fish. Divers are lucky if they see a couple of snappers and a skipjack tuna. You ' ll be happy if you like frogfish and nudibranches
Let' s hope that this place will finally get the protection it deserves..

Avoid going if you're snorkeling. The corals were damaged during a recent typhoon and there's pretty much nothing left. You are wasting your money if you go. My gf and I were so disappointed. Spend your money on other tours around. Yes, they bring you to Moalboal beach for the sardine and turtles but don't waste your time for Pescador Island.

The island is nice, but not much different from any other place nearby. They sell you trips with 3 points to see : Pescador Island, turtle point and the Sardine Run, when you only need a boat to go to Pescador Island. I think they use it as excuse to charge you. Sardine Run and turtle point are both next to the shore in front of the bars. If we knew it earlier we wouldn't have paid a excursion but just taken our snorkel kit and walked through the beach.

This is actually an island hopping adventure. And so far, it's the best marine adventure I've had so far.

Tip: set to sail as early as 530-6AM. Too early? Believe me, and you'll be rewarded with the opportunity to see dolphins in their natural habitat, doing the circus jumps. These creatures are super interesting. They are very fast too and its a joy to see them always in pairs.

Next, head to Pescador Island and do some snorkeling. I believe the underwater scene is one of the most magnificent. Too bad I don't have scuba license. But here, you can see colorful fish and corals.

Then, head near the Panagsama Beach and directly near, underwater, is the schools of sardines doing their trademark sardine run. This is truly a very mesmerizing experience.

Lastly, head to the marine sanctuary. Here, we also saw colorful schools of fish. But it is in here that I was able to spot a turtle at sea!

Our boat ride is about 2000 pesos for the 3 hour tour.

If you are staying in Panagsama Beach, and you are only after the turtles and the sardines, there is no need to take the island hop tour. The whole activities take 3 hrs only including the boat ride, and the mistake we made was we were staying in Pinagsama Beach where we can easily snorkel. To find the turtles and sardines but we paid P2000 to go to pescador Island and the 2 spots so it didn't feel worth it. But if you are staying I White Beach, then yes I'd highly recommend the island hop. Tour because of the sardines and the turtles

Pescador is an island situated in Moalboal with magical underwater fish and coral reefs! From Moalboal public beach, we took a pump boat and shared a rental fee of 187php per head (we were 7 people). On an average, pump boat operators offer 2000php rental fee for island hopping activity with inclusions of Pescador island, turtle watching and sardines watching. The boat we took had a capacity of 10-15pax. So if you're travelling on a group, it's an advantage of the cost and sooooooooo worth it!

When we arrive at the island (after 30 minutes boat ride), we immediately wore life vest, mask and snorkel (included in the fee mentioned above!) and excitingly jumped onto the waters. It was so great that we saw various and colorful school of fish plus the awesome live coral reefs! We happened to bring some snacks with us like bread, chips and drinks and paused for a while eating. After so, we decided to do fish feeding by using our excess bread. It was so amazing seeing the fish coming near you, chasing the feeds when they're in their very nice appearance! My gosh, that was ecstasy! Lol :)

To sum up our island hopping activity, we stayed there for about 2 hours and proceeded then to turtles' territory (30 minutes travel). Last was the sardines watching which was also fantastic (just prepare for a strong current though).

Oh, hey! I almost forgot to mention, we brought our tent and stayed overnight at the Moalboal public beach for free! You'll never be alone during the weekends as there are a lot of tourists who do camping as well!

Enjoy! :)

My rating may be in part due to our dive shop, but we also felt like the island was very busy with divers and I was constantly swimming in bubbles. Didn't actually get to see much. They need to space out the dive groups.
