We, a group of friends went on a safari in this giant-sized tiger reserve where we were lucky enough to see a tiger basking in the sun! For lovers of nature and animals, this is an outstanding place to visit.

A tiger reserve located both in Maharashtra as well as in Madhya Pradesh....A dense deciduous forest with artifical water holes and dense forest, this is a place to be if you want to watch Tigers wandering in wilderness. This is my second trip and it was worth the trip. Loved every moment of it. Of the 2 safaris we took, we were lucky to get the sightings in one of it. there were our friends who watched many of them. So it is a matter of luck.

I spent 4 days in Pench National Park. We made morning and afternoon game drives.
These were wonderful game drives, allowing us to see predators, including:
- many tigers: the queen Collarwalli and her 4 cubs, PatDev, Langdi, Sharmili…
2 critically endangered beautiful dholes
- slot bears
- leopards
- golden jackals- other mammals, e.g.: gaurs, nilgais, sambar deers, chitals, muntjacs, wild pigs…
- plenty of very beautiful birds and raptors
- crocodiles
During night game drives in the buffer zone, we were also lucky as we saw leopards and jungle cats, as well as nocturnal birds
Finally, the landscape in the park is very beautiful. That’s were Kipling wrote the famous “Jungle book”!!!

Even though we did not fully focus on tigers we saw 7 in one day. It is a tiger reserve and they definitely have tigers. Other things to see are birds, Pench riverside, a beautiful forest with lovely ghost trees. It was worth the trip. The guides are well trained and jeep numbers are limited so that the numbers of people are not overwhelming.

It's an unique experience for the whole family far away from the crowd and noise of city. Also a photographers delight.

The best Tiger sanctuary in India. We saw 3 tigers cubs1-2 year old. The Madhya Pradesh tourism & forest dept has done a fantastic job. The safari is very professionally arranged and it is as good as Tanzania & Kenya . There is a place for parking, breakfast & clean toilets inside the jungle. Please watch A spy in the Jungle by BBC ( David Attenborough) Amazon Prime video after visiting. You Pench safari. You will appreciate your stay much better.

The place is average for sighting tigers and birds But considered with a professional photographers view the park is very much expensive as the authorities have started charging 400/- as camera fee and have increased the fees and gypsy rates. A much better option is Pench National Park(MP) adjoining this park in Madhaya Pradesh just 40 km awayfrom this place and is value for money.

Being a canteen, its good for survival in the jungle. Nothing great to talk about.
Morning tea is available at 5:30AM, that's a saving grace.
Rodents everywhere, but then its a jungle.

The first leopard i saw was in Pench. What a moment it was! The Pench (MH) side offers a dense forest. Variety of birds and animals can be seen in the safari. If you are lucky you can witness tiger too. We stayed in the forest operated huts near the safari zone. Those were very basic but they met our requirement of not staying far from safari area.
