For people who love Wildlife Safaris and observing wild animals in their natural habitat, this is THE place to go to. Gondia town is approximately 3 hours drive from Nagpur and the Chorkhamara gate to enter Nagzira Wildlife Sanctuary is about 60 kilometers from Gondia town. This is my first first visit to this sanctuary. I went here from Gondia in a hired car via Kusumtondy. I stayed inside the core area which is Madhukunj. If you have to get feel of real jungle, stay either at Madhukunj or Latakunj which are in the bank of Nagzira lake. Best is Madhukunj. Do online booking from maharashtra... More

A good place situated between Raipur and Nagpur. Accessible from both the cities(midway). Lies 20 km to the NH6. Lodging is available in govt rest houses if you book early online on mahatourism.gov.in. Tents are available for online and on spot reservation. To the opposite of NH6 lies the navegaon wildlife sanctuary. Good camping place overall

Nice place for a full day trip. Spotting a Tiger is very difficult. But deer and a nice variety of birds can be watched.

Nagpur is Tiger Capital of India Nagpur has lots of wildlife sanctuaries for tiger Nagzira is one of them

Nagzira wildlife sanctuary is a great place to visit. The place is upcoming so very few resorts nearby for stay. We were not lucky to sight tiger in this but we were able to sight spotted dear, peacock. The jungle though is amazing. I hope that soon we will be able to see more animals here as the tourist frequent... More

We a group of five lived in the core area of the forest which has a mystical quality to it.. Prakash our guide who has been brought up in these forests was completely at home showing us around and seemed to know every corner of this forest.
