Awesome and adventurous place

I had a visit there in a rainy season with few friends. It gave an awesome view of Tatanagar from its top.

The sanctuary is famous for its elephants. Only place to stay are Forest Guest Houses which can be booked from their office in Jamshedpur. A motorable road and a trekking trail exists to go to Dalma Top.

There is a risk of getting all the way to the entrance and then being denied entrance due to conditions. We did not see any elephants; presumably they were sheltering in the... More

Dalma hills have a wide variety of wildlife - barking deer, leopards, elephants and various birds, as with most sanctuary trips one gets to see only deer and a few bird species. One can trek up the hill, or also drive up till a point. The remains much cooler and the surrounding appears nice and relaxing. There is an option... More
