Excellent walk along the front with a few places for a coffee. There's a large beach and it was very pleasant in November

Lovely stretch of coastline, with a great walkable promenade that has Puerto Del Carmen one end and Los Picillos the other end. Most of the restaurants and shops are at one end or the other. There is a supermarket about halfway if you need refreshments....More

The beach stretches for about a mile from the Hotel San Antonio to the Hotel Los Jameos Playa, it's only slightly tidal and covered in soft sand. There are several sets of sun beds and at least 2 life guard stations.

You will be visiting an EU country and it would make no sense to pay in sterling. You will have the advantage of the exchange rate but using credit / debit cards makes most sense.
