Visited on a Monday to find that only the Bell Tower was open. We were told that the rest of the building was due to open at 5pm. The view from the top is amazing!

Th Basilica is just as beautiful outside, with gorgeous porticos and an adjacent plaza to take a coffee or wine. Well worth a visit.

Imposing church from exterior. Interior is interesting, Spanish baroque style with plenty of evidence that it is used for 'entertainment' ie mystery plays as well as traditional religious services

This building is architecturally beautiful and sits in the town square. Once inside it is the most beautiful church with lots of history. My partner ventured up to the top of the bell tower and had the most amazing view of the city.

When I went to the tourist office, the man behind the counter recommended that I visit the Basilica and clime the tower to get a panoramic view to the Elche and palms. It was well worth the visit and the clime up the tower.

We paid 2€ each to climb the bell tower. 173 steps to reach the top but well worth it for the fantastic views on offer from the top! A visit into the church afterwards (free entry) and the most stunning and beautiful sight beholds you....More
