We really enjoyed this beach (we also went to the Grand Motte) with our family. The walk through the port town with all of the local shops/resto was so enjoyable. I can see exactly why Hemingway spent some time here (we compare it to the time we had in Venice and the local pub he spent so much time at... More

We went there on a weekend which meant the place was a bit busy. However, it's a huge beach and you can be almost on your own if you dare walk away from the pay beach (which is a bit of a rip off). It is recommended to go there with your own parasol, towels and other beach gear to... More

We visit Port Camargue most years and always visit this beach several times and it never fails to deliver. The children absolutely love it and have spent many happy hours playing in the beautiful sand and messing around in the sea. The beach is very wide and goes on for miles (there is a nudist beach part way along, but... More

A great beach, majority clothing optional, formed of the clean natural silt of the river Rhône. Accessible by car (the car park will cost you €6 per day) - but it makes no claims to be reachable by public transport. Though if you look clean and respectable you might well be able to hitch from Le Grau du Roi to... More

Being Australian it is difficult for us to find better beaches than the ones we have at home but after reading the raves review of this one we thought we would give it a try. It is not built up which we like but it is difficult to get to and difficult to get out of. The two taxi companies... More

A wonderful white sandy beach far from the maddening crowd , wild and untamed with some stunning views (and I don't mean on the nudist part )

Chilly north wind, wide open spaces, pristine beach with clear skies. What more could you ask for in Southern France on the 1st of March.

A beach in its natural state. Lots of families in one section of the beach. Nudists in more remote areas of the beach. Good swimming, no food stands at this beach.

Very nice beach. It is very wide, with sand dunes and all. A lot of water sport activity as well. Not so good for small kids
