What a delight. The Three brothers have had wine in their blood from way before they were born.

Eight of us were treated to a warm welcome, great stories and explanations and delicious wine.

Valpolicella Classico for daily drinking, Corvina for the weekend and Rafaela for a special occasion.

Then the surprise. The most amazing chocolate and vanilla bouquet to the top of the range Amarone. Our host advised to drink at the end of the meal after guests had gone and simply contemplate.
Sign me up!

The sweet wine Rita followed. Every mouthful of every glass delicious.

After the tour we had the bonus of exploring a partly excavated Roman villa, less than 150 metres from the vineyard. The archaeologists appreciated our interest. So go and see them. We loved the mosaics.

Together with my wife we discovered this company. Wonderful discovery. In particular we had a tasting led by Emanuele, the eldest of the brothers. It was a wonderful experience; professionalism, passion and competence demonstrated by Emanuele made this moment sublime. The tasting was enriched by the traditions of the territory and the history of the company itself starting from their grandfather, precursor of the current reality. I invite anyone who would like to undertake a tasting journey to do so at this gem of a company.

We had asked Pagus Wine Tours to put together a day of wine tasting for our party of 3. Fratelli Vogadori was the first stop of the day. Gaetano was our host for this visit and gave us a tour of their winery. He outlined the various wine making processes and the standards to which they must adhere. Gaetano was passionate about their craft and was eager to share. The facilities were outstanding and the scenery spectacular. The wine? That was very good too. Having some shipped home. An outstanding start to our day.

Visited this winery last fall during a trip among Valpolicella wineries. Being a wine expert, I'm not a sophisticated at all. I generally like rustic placer rather than big brands. I found their hospitality nice. However, many of the information about the Valpolicella area, good for inexpert tourists, revealed to be wrong. It sounded as they started making wine few years ago. The place was dirty and wine was consistently bad. The Amarone 2005 tasted like "rossissimo" in a huge way, stabilizing substances and artificial tannins (the latter as my friend chemist, there with me, specified). The raffaello and the orher wines did not show elegance and were deeply unbalanced. They claimed to make organic wines.. Though without visible certification as EU law would require. Nice people, but nothing else.

Dear Stefano, thanks for your review: for my family it's really important to get feedbacks. We are proud when they are positive like the previous 19 and we try to improve ourselves after getting a negative one. I was curious to know which information on the Valpolicella were "wrong": I also wrote you a message but if you don’t reply it’s difficult to understand your point of view. The winery is located on the top of the Vigolo hill, and all around there are vineyards: we like to start the visit from the fields, and obviously there's grass, mud, cow manure and so on. But we love to work in the land: if you come in a normal working day you'd see me and my brothers working there. As you can understand, our work is not an office work :). It is from the land that you can understand our philosophy: we don’t use chemical fertilisation but only the natural ones, we don't use herbicides nor pesticides. If you drink a full bottle of our wines you'll get no headache, stomachache or acidity. I think you were lucky tasting the Raffaello because we sold it all out before last autumn; my father Raffaello would like to have a bottle but I’m not able to find one! I’m sorry for this long response, I would like to add just one last thing: I’m Alberto of Fratelli Vogadori and the winery is in Vigolo street 16 in Negrar, we are always open and everybody can come to see the land, the vines, to taste our wines and talk with us. Our winery will never be closed and we’ll always answer all the questions. Feel free to contact me for anything you may need! Thanks for the time you are spending to read this reply! Alberto

Quite impressed by the label of the Valpolicella Classico, a 2007 wine, we were expecting a very nice aged, flexible wine. Surprised by the amount of acids for a 10 year aged wine, this poor quality must be a result of a carelessly selection of the grapes and bad processing. The basic wine from Allegrini or Corte Aleardi is better than the most expensive Amarone of Vogadori.

Stopped by without a reservation and did a wine tasting. Very friendly and eager to explain the wines, the production and the tastes of the wines. Ok english.

Cherry driven wines witch I love. Was amazing to be able to taste aged Amarone. The wineries standard Amarone is 14 years and the special is 15 years and the Ripasso 10 years.

We visited on a trip through Valpolicella. Upon arrival we were met by one of the Vogadori brothers. The wine tasting was great (we got 6 bottles shipped home) and Mr Vogadori was great with the kids - picking them up and pretending to put a bottle in their mouths. His passion for wine and life cam through.

Great testing in Vogadori winery. We enjoyed those incredible wines which are very old but actually have great potential for more aging. Full bodied, great and complex aromas. One of the best we taste in Valpolicella.

I have been at the Vogadori brothers three times now, and it is so very good every time. The brothers are very kind and attentive, and are eager to let us taste their good wines. Very relaxing atmosphere, and no salesman attitudes. They are proud of their products, and they let the wine speak for itself.

They have a really good and wonderful selection of different wines, the whole palette from semi dry white, to the great semi-sweet "Rita", to the traditional three red, and their special "Rafaello" and "Amarone Classico Forlago", which apparently is a DOCG, just that they haven't paid the price for the official certification. And not to forget, the sweet passito and reccioto.

Not to be missed is also their own olive oil and vinegar.

This time, we left with more than 50 bottles, and we are so very satisfied! This is a great place!!!

Third visit now and this place never lets me down. Located on the hills outside the city of Negrar, this place offer great wine tasting from the Brothers Vogadori. If you are willing to splash a little money (wine tasting is for free though) you can be the owner of some great reds and whites (I recommend Raffaello and Rita) but also some amazing dessert wines - Recioto and Passioto. This place will for sure not dissappoint you.
