Description:

On the eastern side of the Etna volcano, in the woods of the National Park...

On the eastern side of the Etna volcano, in the woods of the National Park and facing the sea of Taormina, the Gambino vineyards are a pleasure for your senses and for your heart. A Pleasure for your sight, because they represent one of the best models of Etna vineyards of high altitude: in an exclusive natural environment, at 800 meters above sea level, the vineyards lay on sunny and airy terracing that have a breathtaking panorama.

A pleasure for your sense of smell, for the unmistakable perfumes of the volcano vegetation. A pleasure for your heart, because the vineyards and wine are great passion that, for over twenty years, involves and guides the Raciti Gambino family.

We came here as part cruise around the Med. The whole experience was excellent from being meet with a chilled glass of white through the wines tour and then food with three different red wines. We enjoyed it so much we brought 12 bottles of red and had them sent back to the UK......

As others have said, this place is over the top in terms of a tasting experience. They definitely go the extra mile and produce some good wines.

We had a great time wine tasting at Gambino and were thrilled to be able to order wine to be delivered back to the states. Unfortunately, the wine has not arrived and there's no number to call. They only have an email address and haven't answered my emails. Quite disappointing...and determined to either get the wine or get a refund!

We took our daughter and her new fiancé as part of their European vacation. We were the only people there that evening and got one on one attention. The sample plates, wine as well as the knowledge was unbelievable. My husband and I live in Catania, so to share Gambino with them was truly special. We each bought several bottles.

We were a group of 6, we decided to take the €25. Package the wine they recommended was of the top quality explaining which type of grape is used and the process, the unique taste due to the volcanic soil they are grown in, the 2ladies who hosted us were very friendly and their knowledge of their product was very... We rented a car from the Messina port and drove 1+15, an easy drive just have toll money ready, to the Gambino Vineyards. We were met by Frederica for our tour and tasting and she was a wealth of knowledge, following that the owner continued the tour with us for a more personal detail of the winery. We recommend you... We travelled up quite a distance in order to see for ourselves how wonderful the Gambino Winery actually is. We were not disappointed! We didn't have reservations, but that was no problem at all. Our tour, combined with very generous tastings made it completely worth it! Be careful on the drive back down the mountain!

Wine tasting at Gambino Winery is nothing like wine tasting in the States! We "tasted" great wines and had fantastic appetizers (lunch) and a great sommelier explaining their wines. By "tasted" I don't mean 1/2 - 1 oz of wine, but a glass of each wine offered - at least 8 different ones including their reserve red which was fantastic!... More

Not being a lover of wine tastings we were not looking forward to this segment of our tour to Etna but we're happy to report we were wrong! The location is gorgeous, the vineyards interesting and the wines interesting in their variance, and light food they served (we ate vegetarian) was appropriate to the wines and tasty. Their guest centre... More
