We used this cable car to go up from the car park up to last building up the south side of Etna. The ride is over 15 minutes and the view is fantastic.

Got a ride up Mount Etna with its highest volcano in Europe, and saw a lava tunnel. It was a nice experience, but in Hawaii, I went on a helicopter ride about 40-meters above flowing red-hot molten-rock lava that was so hot, I could feel...More

After driving more than an hour from Taormina to visit the Etna, we get to the Funivia dell'Etna, Stazione partenza. First, there's no explanation whatsoever on the 2 lengths of the cable car, you just get to the cashier, they unpleasantly ask for 30 EUR...More

Many people were walking up and the funivia is really good and well worth the money. Service stopped a couple of times but no problem and appears quite safe.

Arrive early, preferably before 9. Be prepared to pay a lot of money (300 euro for a family of 5 with 1 under 12 = child). Go when the weather is good, we had a perfect clearvday making it well worthwhile. Wrap up warm as...More

while it is a little high-priced at about €63-€69 per person total. it is worth the value for a once in a life-time experience. We drove there and here is the break down: 1. You can drive to Refugio Sapienza and park for €3.5 for...More

Brilliant. We got there in time for the first trip up and went in the 4x4 trucks to meet our guide. Unmissable views.
