A nice long sandy beach, with good places to eat local food. The ocean is alittle rough for youngsters, but there is the river they can go in and have lots of fun !

This beach has some construction going near where the Imbassai river meets the ocean, so it is a bit noisy and ugly at first but once you pass that, as I went right at sunset (behind the beach) the colors of the sand, sea and...More

It was a fairly small beach area which was crowded but the water was nice and the people were friendly. It's a great area with the shops and beach.

Imbassai is about 3 walking hours from praia do forte - along the beach - is fantastic. Imbassai is growing, the Restaurants are nice. But for our taste, there is to many waves and a strong current in the water. Not yet so fancy like...More

It is a good beach for eating, spending time, there is a river just on the coast. But swim in the ocean in the area is a bit dangerous.

A quiet and peaceful place where you can enjoy the fresh water and beach with sand. You can sit down at the barraca and relax as well.

It's a wonderful place to visit in Bahia. We can stay all the day long inside the river. It is also possible to go to the beach because both are next to each other. It is a relaxing place.

Beautiful beach with a few bar/restaurants providing food/drink/beach chairs. Swimming limited by strong currents and waves, but overall more enjoyable than nearby Praia do Forte beach

It's a cool beach town. I like how I had the option to take a boat to the beach. Also, there is a freshwater lake directly next to the main beach. The freshwater lake is not pristine blue, but the waters are warm.

I was pleasantly surprised by the changes that happened in Imbassai, but it is still retaining its natural charm. A beautiful tropical paradise, a village divided in two by a river, with beautiful small falls and the end by the ocean with a lovely beach...More
