We had a lovely tour guide to unlock the best of this special and beautiful garden; how we loved smelling and tasting so many herbs and spices and appreciating the "living food" as our knowledgeable guide put it. Also, the tour gave us a great history of the spice trade and Penang's key role in that. Reasonably priced so great... More

Visited this garden as part of a tour. I had to ditch the wheelchair, but luckily I was on a very good day. We were split into three groups each with a guide and we did the spice garden section. Lots of shallow steps and climbs on pretty but uneven paths. Excellent guide who gave us leaves to smell or... More

Advisable with a guide, but the guided tours are only available on scheduled times. We arrived 1pm and the next tour was at 2pm. Didn't help that we were a big group of visitors arriving the at the same time. The kids don't get their own audios, and it was difficult to listen when sharing. Check the time for guided... More

We weren't thinking we would spend more than half an hour here. 1.5 hours later could have still stayed longer. Teenage children also enjoyed. Beautifully set out and well managed - a credit to the owners and managers.

We walked around the express trail as wanted to catch the next hop on& off bus, but wished we'd had more time as would happily have whiled away the whole morning wandering in these beautiful, informative rainforest gardens, shopping in the gift store and lunching in the restaurant which has gorgeous sea views.

We took the guided garden tour. Lim was our guide and was very knowledgeable and showed many interesting and unusual plants and trees. The garden is large and a nice way to spend an hour or two. Take some mosquito repellent with you though! It's quite a long way out from Georgetown by bus, allow a good hour and I'm... More

Great garden if you're interested in tropical plants, spices etc. Lovely guide (Lim), relaxing walk and lots of info. We did the garden tour as part of the cooking class...the cooking was a disappointment; rushed, not informative, too much chopping, no recipe book, ended up with two bland boring dishes and wishing I'd eaten at the cafe outside.

Too much of mosquitoes, but I was requested to be sprayed with repellent. Just felt the breeze, great sceneries... Beautiful colours. Felt like a quick exercise as we started to sweat because of the hike. But the only thing lacking is the price rm29 for adult, the staff's is not even there to guide or explain but given us the...
