driving to the the penang island is such a breeze using the first bridge. since we wanted to go to bayan lepas first, using the bridge make the trip to the destination nearer

Its a long sometimes congested second connection to penang island. Toll is at RM 7.50. Great view of the island lights especially in the night.

This is the older Penang Bridge that takes you to the mainland. You can view both the bridges from the island with the Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Bridge being newer and longer. The locals still use the older bridge.

In a nutshell this is just a bridge which takes you from the island of Penang over to the mainland I would not say it was not worth going over it but you cannot stop to take pictures and there is no pavement for you...More
