We visited in feb 22
Returned from Almoda side, before 10 km of mukteshwar, we entered in dark forests
There are no crowed, no vehical, only sound of birds and it is memorable visit.
It is zero point at temple.
You climbed up some steps to get the temple.

Nice location and must visited place when you plan Nainital trip.

The god is residing on top of a cool mountain. It is a small climb and you will feel the energy and blessings when you reach there.

Kumaon has many temples. This is a Pure bliss to visit.
Be careful of feeding monkeys.
Parking is a chaos.

This is a heart fulfilling experience. Enroute there are plenty of places where you can see the Himayalas at close quarters. The final trek is steep and one should be ready for it.

Plenty of extra curricular activities in the vicinity - like zip lining, bungy jumping, etc.

recommended to visit this temple with divinity as the central theme

It would have been a nice place had the cleanliness around it maintained and if the crowd was less. When I visited it was heavily crowded and all the nuisances that one can see in such places were there. A wonderful place that has been spoiled by the crowds. Plan a visit when there are no tourists in the region to actually enjoy this place.

Beautiful place but a little too crowded. Parking the car was a problem. The view was wonderful. Interesting place to visit on a non-crowded day.

Place oozes calmness and pious. You can just sit there and feel the calmness. View from the top is icing on the cake.

Small hamlet with mythological significance more than that it's the feeling of living on the edge as you stand on the cliff and view kumaon as far as almora. Must have local Nimbu pani and Kadi chawal. Rappling is available as out door activity. Do not litter the nature.

The place is named because of the Mukteshwar Shivling. You have to cross around 20 steps to reach the temple. There are small eateries near by.
