You can't even get into the chambers of the house. Huge hype for the house. The exterior view is beautiful, but they do not allow you to enter into the rooms. No photography allowed inside the Governor's house. The golf course and the scenery is not something that you cannot see in other places.

I don't know why it has been avoided by many tourists.might be because of not known about it. Governor house is like a queen palace surrounded by oak trees and mountains. Entry charges is around 50 INR and you will get guide too in that ticket. Entry time is not in-between the hours but at O clock like 2,3,4 etc.... More

The place was huge and beautiful but was closed due to repair work. Would advise to find out before going here whether to go or not to go.

Governor's Bungalow constructed during the British governance which is a scaled model of Buckingham Palace, UK. This is a must visit place in Nainital. A walk through the heritage site gives you a fascinating experience of the old British days. Even though the major portions of Raj bhavan is closed because its used by the Governor of Utharakhand. The state... More

About the place: ==================== Visiting this place allowed us a rare opportunity to see the kind of houses major Government authorities live in (this is the only Governor's house in the country that is open to public viewing, albeit partially). The place is truly royal - outdoors are lavish, large, very well-maintained and lush green and the actual governor house... More
