You need to catch a cab for 60 rs from mall road and that’ll drop u right outside the zoo. There’s a lot of climbing/walking to be done so it’s better to carry a water bottle. You get to see tigers, pheasants, bears etc.

We enjoyed the Zoo except for the climb from where the car drops you. The animals in the zoo are very exciting. The tigers there are the highlight and so are the leopards. Must visit place when in Nainital.

There are state run cabs there to run from Shimla station road to take you there. Your own car cab can also take you there and drop you before 200 meters from the ticket counter.
