Hi, may be if you wanted to enjoy the street view, location view and also save some money biking is the best option to go with. Take the bike on rent and enjoy the ride in Nainital.
Make sure you visit the Naini Lake and enjoy a ride on it as well. The bike services are easily available and reasonable too. Did not try it personally but heard decently good reviews about it + had friends who had tried the service.. Try to bargain when purchasing a service !!
When I was in Nainital in October, I was in great hurry to run to Dehradun. I cannot imagine my time there, if I have not met a guy at this Bike rental. Awesome service and great people there. Should go directly if you want any two wheelers to roam around nainital.
