Hidden treasure, must to see east of Malaga. Unexpected gem, kept by Spaniards for Spaniards? Evaristo Guerra painted the walls with murals showing local people and traditions, very interesting.

A lovely old church perched high on a hill in the Jardin de los Remedios. Wonderful building with views to match. A lovely park to sit quietly and ponder. Absolutely worth a visit.

Ermita de Nuestra Senora de los Remedios is a fine church situated on a hill near the fort with great views over the town and the sea. Closed when visiting. Less impressive exterior with few windows, as usual, to keep the heat out.

Beautiful old church with modern frescos. Little collection of rosaries for sale. Combine it with a visit to the Alcazaba.

This church is perched high on a hill that has had a new park developed around it. It was a beautiful walk to get there and what I thought was going to be a plain church inside, but it was a beautifully frescoed church inside....More

You just have to visit this church when in Malaga area. Built in 16-th century, final frescoes in the end of 20th century. Light and joy - I can only describe it so. Fantastic panorama above the whole region when standing near the church.

Eventually found this lovely church after wandering around the little side streets. It is a beautiful little church both outside and in. It closes at 1.00pm. The view from the colourful garden outside is spectacular.

Beautiful outside and treasure inside. The walls are covered by paintings from local artist during 14 years of hard work. They visualize the life of local habitants in their every day life. And the walls picture the surrondings outside as they appear in each direction....More

Beautifully kept area and if you get there between 9.30am and 1pm the church should be unlocked, inside it is extremely well kept also. Views of the town are fabulous and you can see many of the other interesting buildings that you can easily walk...More

This church is on one of the three hills in Velez Malaga. Funded with European money, the area has been cleaned and landscaped and although we did not visit the church locked on our day of arrival, the peace and serenity of the area was...More
