    Can be missed
You have to travel a lot to reach this mandir. I found it overhyped and not so great. Locals have made too many stories around the place in order to promote tourism and business in this place. It can be missed if you are short on time.

    Island of lord Krishna
Bet refers to islands. Some people told mythological stories about lord Krishna and his friends sudama meeting spot (in hindi bhet) that's why the name got Beyt Dwarka but the bet originally referred as island in hindi so it is called as bet Dwarka where Dwarkadhish Temple is located. Only option to reach Bet Dwarka is ferry from okha port. Ferry ride is available from okha port cost 20₹ one side. Coastal road is in progress and will soon be delivered in service so that devotee, tourist and visitors can easily be reach to islands by road 24 x7.

    Prepare for the crowds!
Situated roughly a half hour ride from Dwarka, this needs to be reached by a ferry( incredibly crowded, 20 rupees / person / ride) We booked a "cabin" for 500. Roughly 10 -15 minutes ride. Then be prepared to be surrounded by auto drivers offering to drop you to the temple. The main temple is a short walk from the ferry terminal and if you get there early in the morning, lines are short. Another Hanuman temple needs to be done by auto( Roughly 30 rupees / person). It's not really worth the visit if one is short on time.

We were told a trip to Dwarkadham (business capital of Sri Krishna) is incomplete without visiting Beyt Dwarka (residence of Sri Krishna). So with high spirits we decided to visit the island. Though it is historically very important but is completely mis managed by the locals, who are all out to make money. Currently the only mode to reach the island is from Okha in redundant boats and an equally chaotic ticket counter-reminded me of mass exodus from countries.
After braving it to the island in overly stuffed boats (going upto 200 passengers in big boats), we were
subjected to a complete stampede at the main temple.
The only respite was the young private auto driver we got who motivated us to see other 2 famous temples and took us around in his auto.
The exit from the island was equally bad, with a stampede like situation while boarding and getting off the boat with callous boat captains. The life jackets were also stashed on a post, which served more of a decorative purpose, as no one could remove them.
Very sad to see such a historically important place being totally mismanaged, authorities should definitely step in for crowd management and making it a better place for the common man who travels from far to see sacred places.

A very nice place which is the residence of Lord Krishna. Try to visit before 0800h in the morning. The boats operate from a jetty near Okha. The boats are crowded and no one wears life vests. The ticket price is Rs 20(one way) on these boats. But if you can afford, try to book the full boat. It will cost around Rs 2500/-(you have to negotiate though). If you book the full boat, then you will not have to wait for the boat to get filled and thus save time. The Temple is closed between 0800h and 1000h. After that there is heavy rush. So do the darshan before 0800h. Also it becomes hot hater on in the day. Avoid sundays and holidays.

Located off the coast of Gujarat, Beyt Dwarika is a small island which can be reached by boat. The island hosts two temples with rich history.

An ancient temple constructed where Lord Krishn met his poor friend & classmate Sudama. One has to travel in the boat to cross the sea to an island. Boat are running, I would say, at every 5 minutes with lots of rush but quite comfortable and ease. Everyone has to walk more than a kilometer to temple though Dhela is available for those who do not want to walk. A worth place to visit. It will take atleast an hour from the Okha jetty.
