About
Apart from offering you the opportunity to tour the production section of our winery, we also organize tastings in our wine cellar modelled after the ancient Roman dining rooms, which is why we have named it Triclinium. All our products are available for tasting. The wine tasting can be held in the Croatian or English language. Reservation in advance is required.

Giving 3 stars but would prefer a null value to not affect their rating. We went to Dubokovic Wine instead - here’s why:

We called at 12:00 to make a reservation for a tasting and were told that group tastings were at 2:00 and 5:30. We said this is fine, asked if we needed to put our names down, were told yes, proceeded to give our names and then the lady on the phone almost seemed annoyed that we were in fact coming and just said “ok be here 10-15 minutes early”.

We drove to Jelsa and decided to stop at Dubokovic Wine on the way real quick since it was 1:30. They hadn’t answered the phone earlier (turns out the owner was in the field tilling and couldn’t hear his phone ring) so we didn’t think they were open. When we walked in and they were, we were immediately glad we stopped. We called back to cancel our reservation at Tomić and the same lady was almost joyous we weren’t coming. Not a great look in the hospitality environment and we are by no means wine or restaurant snobs. I’m not sure if she was having a bad day or what, but from talking to other travelers, canceling was the right decision. A previous review talks about them having great quality wine, large groups, a passionless rehearsed monologue about everything, and overall below average value for $30/person. I would say we heard the same from several other people in person. I will give this winery another shot if we come to Hvar again but can say that it seems the smaller wineries provide more intimate and passionate/interesting experiences.

All the wines were nice and of high quality and so was the interior, lively tasting cellar. The tour around the winery was okay and informative. The presentation of each wine at the table was okay but seemed rehearsed and without anecdotes or personal engagement. And for 30 euros per person, we would have expected more than two cheeses and some olives to go with the wine tasting, Perhaps especially since the cheeses were not local produce. All in all a good experience but little value for money.

We visited this family winery while on a day stop in Hvar as part of our Unforgettable Croatia yacht cruise down the Dalmatian coast. The visit was well organised in a large tasting room accommodating our whole group of around 36 people. We tasted four wines and servings were generous. Meats cheeses and bread were also provided. The cellar door was about 30 minutes on the bus from the Hvar port. Staff were friendly and efficient. Wines were good too 😊

We were taken here on a group cruise tour with 18 other couples. They gave us 6 big tastes, water and an AWESOME cheese and nibbles board. We needed up buying a bottle to drink another night. Prices are reasonable and room was elegant, and impressive

Fabulous vineyard that is worth the drive from Hvar. We absolutely loved it. The staff is warm and welcoming. Very much a fun spot.

The people here take pride in their art and have a real passion for their product. What better way to sample Hvar island than with the best wines, paired perfectly with local cheeses, fish and meats shared with the knowledge and hospitality of the local people who work in the winery. Antonija was a great host, sommelier and waitress. Easy to book ahead through the website and just a short walk along the shoreline from Jelsa. 😊🍷

Instructive introduction to wines that we then drank during the rest of our visit in Croatia. Useful pairing of wines with tapas, which were delicious. We initially missed the turn for the winery, then saw, doubling back, the sign at the bottom of the indicator. Because I was driving, I tasted the wine rather than drinking it down.

This was average experience, not sure if I would do it unless you are near by visiting. The wine is good, accompanied of some good tapas.
