Quang Phu Sand Dunes,
- Dubbed as one of the most beautiful sand dunes in the Central.
- Quang Phu sand dune is located between Quang Phu (Dong Hoi) and Nhan Trach (Bo Trach) communes, about 10 km northeast of the center of Dong Hoi city. To get here, from Dong Hoi, you follow Tran Hung Dao Street, turn to Nguyen Du, continue across Truong Phap Street and turn left to get there.
- White sand stretches shimmering in the sun. There are sand hills up to 10m high, sometimes dotted with the green of wild shrubs, the deep brown of dry branches. All create a pristine, quiet but also unexpected charm.

Quang Phu Dunes is a stunning natural landscape in the heart of Quang Binh Province, Vietnam. The vast sand dunes stretch for kilometres, creating a fascinating sight glistening with gold.
Stroll between the dunes and you'll be drawn to the changing shapes and textures of the wind-blown dunes. Dunes offer a unique and adventurous experience, whether climbing to the top for panoramic views or strolling along the beach.
Sandboarding is a popular activity in the dunes of Quang Phu for thrill-seekers. Glide along steep slopes, feel the wind whistling by and experience the thrill of sandboarding.
Whether you're looking for adventure, tranquillity or the chance to connect with nature, Quang Phu Dunes has everything you need. Don't miss this hidden gem in Quang Binh Province.

I didn't even know these were there when I scooted North on a rental scooter from Dong Hoi. After noticing that the paved road on both sides was flanked by dunes,I decided to park the bike and climb up one of the sand embankments. Being afraid of getting lost, I didn't wander too far, but the experience is quite amazing. Sand dunes as far as the eye can see.

We loved riding and surfing the sand dunes. Great fun sliding down on top of a piece of plastic that you can get from a coffee shop across the street.

Except if you come for selfie it's quite boring here. The place isn't large as it looks on photos.
Just 15 mins from city center .

I call this place is Saraha in Quang Binh, where you can enjoy seeing Sunrise and Sunsets on the sand dunes.
I went here on a cloudy day, luckily it wasn't raining; however, I can't see the beautiful sunsets unfortuantely. I did spend time just sitting here alone for a while to relieve my own feelings after breaking up with my partner few weeks ago ☺️
Other than sightseeing, you can do sand sliding. The cost of renting sliding panel is 30,000vnd.
If you expect to play game and discovery something new, I don't think this is an appropriate place.

Một địa điểm mới cho các bạn thích checkin chụp ảnh các thứ với không gian bên núi bên biển không thể tuyệt vời hơn!
If u want to be a part of nature, let come and get some pictures there, a 3-sides place where involves sea, sand, and mountains. You will never forget what you would see here for sure

Finding attractions in Dong Hoi city and surrounding area, we knew Quang Phu sand dune then decided to come there to have a look. In fact, it is just a bare hillside, nothing special to see. When we were there, there was nobody else, so we felt a little bit scary. However, you can spend your free time there if you want.
