One of my greatest experiences...walking in the village and seeing the life of people in their beautiful houses deeply impressed me. Although the weather was super hot in the middle of August, I'm happy that I had the chance to visit this incredible place.

The Wuzhen experience is something you feel, the calmness of the water, the hustle bustle in the street, the chatter of families walking around, laughter from the cafes, smells of various foods wafting through the narrow lanes... We stayed in an ancient grocery converted to...More

If you are on a day visit, just go have a look at Dongzha first because that area is still at it's basic natural condition and not developed yet. Not much to see but I love the pickles that was sold there. Xizha is more...More

The Ancient town is well preserved and gives a greater insight into old China. If Wuzhen is too out of the way for you Pingjiang in Suzhou may be a better option, it is also much livelier.

Wuzhen is divided into the East and West sections. I have visited the East side previously but have not been to the West side, apparently the East side is more picturesque and historic, whilst the West side caters for hotels. One day I would like...More

You will know a Chinese countryside small village, completely different from Shanghai or Beijing. Few people speak English, but the whole city has WIFI and the local people use the mobile translator to communicate with tourists. Most people very attentive with the rare Westerner tourists...More

Wuzhen is very touristy and worth exploring. But we could only do a few parts of the West Gate with our three and half hours. The place is very picturesque with its remarkable characteristics and rich with many attractions from the past. Would love to...More
