Kailuan Mine Park was the first coal mine to be built in China. We had a english translator that took us firstly through the museum and then underground to a mining area where we could view the tools and structures they used throughout different times. We had to wear hard hats when we went underground also and caught a miners train back to ground level. A unique experience. Recommend more then the Tangshan Museum - it tells you more about the 1976 earthquake.
