good place to spend evening. nothing to do much. just like mall road of any hill station but the environment is good.good restaurants, not very costly food. one can opt for staying 1-2 days here also.

This the place to be , if you are traveling to Gangtok and would like to spend a good evening . Wonderfully lit up, with some great stalls and eateries . lovely crowd , superb location and one would never feel bored out here.

This is probably the only open-air car-free shopping street in the region. There is a lot of variation in shops. Ther are some good places for tea and cake. Here is also the tourist office. You can go to the covered Lal bazaar from here.

Mr Vikram is right. You can go to Sikkim coz its a very beautiful state with lots to see. And during winter its going to be cheap. You will find lots of good hotel in M G marg which is the heart of the capital... More

Since you are 3 persons, It would be better to hire a 4 seater car like a WagonR. It would be comfortable for 3 persons while paying a little more.
