Visited the orchid show, was a beautiful display of orchids. Took lots of photo's. Shame could not buy any plants as we were in a hurry. Gangtok has beautiful pagodas and scenery, so it was a pleasant day away from traffic and noise.

This is a very small exhibit with few orchids, however October is not the appropriate season for orchids and I'm reliably informed January or February are much better.

At the heart of the city, this small place is full of beautiful flowers, some of them unique to north-eastern India. Entry fees to be paid. A variety of flowers including orchids, anthuriums and common ones can be seen with their names clearly displayed.
