I did not count the exact number of steps, but there is a intermediate platform where you need to take-off your shoes. And this platform is reached around 50 steps. Lot of seats are also available to take rest here. The next platform is the mandir, which is again another 50-60 steps, again the stairs are not continuous and changed direction once (like multi-storey building). The are railings, so aged persons can take them as support. No addtional assitance available, at least we did not noticed. If the persons have high difficulties, then they should not attempt, but with moderate difficulties can reach the mandir. But you should plan the visit as the place is nice, even few could not make to the mandir. You will find locals selling souvenires.
