This is an open air zoo...nicely organised and kept clean. Be prepared to walk a lot. If you are travelling to Tsongmo lake you can visit the zoo on your return journey.

It's common zoological park having lots afe rare species. Red panda and royal Bengal tiger are very much popular amongst all. It is situated heart of the city.

You can go there just to see the brown panda and the leopard. Nothing great. Forgot to mention the enclosures are big and gives a feeling of a jungle!

The place is well planned, keeping space between animals. Be ready to walk a lot. Unfortunately, some of the animals are single and need to have a mate.

This is a nice place to see few Himalayas animals living in the nature. You are not always guaranteed to spot them all, so don't get disappointed. PS: the white tiger looked so fluffy and cute. My fav cat ;) Entrance 100 rupees/ pp

Most people are used to seeing animals in zoos, but the best part about this park is that it emulates the natural habitat of the creatures as close to reality as possible. So you may have to walk around quite a bit between one animal/bird to another, but it is worth the walk. The place is very well maintained and... More
