The gateway between two major (one not yet super ;)) powers of the world, of course you got it by now, India and China is a sight to watch. Getting there may not be very easy for everyone though, there are a few strict rules and the unpredictable weather of course to decide whether or not one'll be able to... More

Leave early is my piece of advise, at it becomes great rush around noon. The army opens the checkpoints for vehicle to pass after 8 am. The drive from Gangtok takes good 2.5hours and the road is mix of both good and bad due to landslides and snowfall. The last leg is good 100ft climb, so for people who have... More

The road to Nathula is stunningly beautiful as you pass many lakes on the way. As we got out of the car, we realized how cold it was. The wind was crispy and fast. Seeing the chinese border was certainly unreal, so much so that my phone changed the time to Beijing time while I was there

It's amazing to get sooooo close to an international border !! Absolutely amazing !! Though we loved the place, a few pointers, the climb to the border is soo bad, the stairs are chipped, uneven and makes the climb all the more difficult. Please provide better public conveniences. The place was soooo beautiful though.
