Gorgeous exterior which are intricately designed. The interior itself is nothing to write home about, but it provides a quaint, peaceful backdrop if you would like to have a quiet moment.

This one of oldest Roman catholic church looks like more holy due to its whiteness. We saw awesome painting inside the church. You feel good positive vibes when you go inside. This place is quite and calm. Church has own two wheeler parking area. This church should be in your list.

On december 24th with family members i visited this well located place of worship in town. Practically, the omily is made in Tamil language in front of its many devotees. The entrance is impressive through the large portals with a large interior courtyard. The architecture of the whole is solid and clean. the benches are well aligned with distance. the decoration is well distributed on the walls with statues. the altar of god is immensely flowered on the occasion of Christmas.
Its also a place to celebrate catholic marriages

Wonderfully preserved slice on France in India. Very pretty church which is beautifully preserved. In contrast to other churches in the area both the interior and exterior retail a simple classic look and feel.

The Immaculate Conception Cathedral is also known as Samba Kovil and is the parent church of the Catholic diocese for Pondicherry. It was originally built in 1692 but was demolished by the Dutch, rebuilt, demolished again, rebuilt, and demolished by the British. It was rebuilt in 1791 in its present shape. The Bell tower was built later. A loft was added in 1905, and parts have been remodeled in 1970 and 1987.
The church is light and bright with a simple and pretty center altar. The paintings around the church are very colorful. Windows have colored panels - no stained glass pictures. There is a Virgin Mary grotto and a beautiful silver statue of Christ in front of the cathedral.
Having been visited by Mother Theresa, this church is one of Pondicherry's landmarks and oldest tourist sites. Masses take place in Tamil and English. While we visited, we were lucky enough to hear the choir practicing.

It's one of the most famous places to visit if you are in Puducherry. We went on the Christmas Eve and it was so well lit and vibe of the place was so much energising.
Just one this. The entrance can be kept more tidy by the authorities. As it is a Holy place, it should be kept clean and tidy.
