Its a nice hangout for an evening walk besides an esplanade. There are a lot of food joints as well.

Statue of Gandhi in Pondicherry is one of the tourist attraction and situated on the sea shore of Bayof bengal. White structure surrounded by the pillars, the statue of the leader is there.

This beautiful monument shows everyone’s beloved Mahatma Gandhi in one of his iconic poses. His head is protected from above and the central statue is surrounded by columns. This landmark is a place of meeting and gathering of both the locals and tourists.
This monument looks interesting in variety of lightings and it is good to visit it at various times of the day.

Statue of the Mahatma Ganghi is very famous in Puducherry and situated on beach promenade. The Statue was made by black stone. But in the evening time no light was there.

It is in Rock beach only. Good place to roam around and click photos. Beautiful place. Go there in evening , take a stroll or just sit down and relax. it will calm your mind

One of Pondicherry's most recognizable landmarks is the Mahatma Gandhi statue. It is a popular tourist destination and one of the main attractions of Rock Beach. The Mahatma Gandhi statue stands 4 feet tall and is surrounded by eight magnificent granite pillars brought from Gingee, a fort in Tamil Nadu about 70 kilometers from Puducherry. This is considered to be the third biggest statue of Mahatma Gandhi.

The statue as well as the area around it were covered in scaffoldings and I was not sure why they were there as no repair work seemed to be going on. It is on the main promenade so could have been a nice viewing point.

This statue of Mohandas Gandhi is on the main promenade in Pondicherry. The views of the sea from near the statue are great. In the evening, on few particular special nights, this statue is lit up providing nice background to the promenade and the sea shore.

This same statue can be found in many Indian cities and on t- shirts. I wouldn’t go out of my way to see this but if you are walking along the promenade and happen to see it, then take a picture, as everyone else does!
