- Dave PatelLeeds, United Kingdom7 contributionsLovely beach worth a visitFantastic clean beach with excellent views. Need to get there via a boat, which is a nice pleasant ride. Lost a star could do with more facilities, eg, sun loungers, more restaurants, etc. The best thing is that it's inexpensive a few hours outing.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 25 November 2023
- pchandrangKannur, India378 contributionsParadise Beach, much hyped, but nothing special.Beach can be reached by taking a 15 minutes boat ride. Return trip charges for the boat ride is Rs. 354 including GST. Beach is very long and wide, clean, laden with golden sand. Debri deposited by the high tide are frequently cleaned. Beach, though very long, only a small stretch is allowed for the use of general public. Rest of the area is reserved for private resort. There is no much activities on the beach on week days. Not sure if there is any on week ends and holidays. Though a known tourist destination in Pondicherry, there is absolutely nothing here to attract tourists except the vast sea and the golden sand. But for those who live in the costal states, this is just another ordinary beach that one gets to see along Arabian sea and Bay of Bengal. Except for a dilapidated, thatched roofed hut supposed to be a restaurant that doesn't serve even tea or coffee, there is not a single shop or any other facilities for visitors in this beach. The much acclaimed Paradise Beach is just another highly hyped and publicised place by tourism industry to attract visitors. The 354 rupees fare for a 15 minutes ride is too high. The visit is not worth the money. If you are hard pressed for time, you can easily avoid visiting this beach. You won't miss any thing.Visited December 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 10 December 2023
- Saurabh K2 contributionsClean and peaceful beachCleanliness: This was the first thing that struck me. The beach is very well-maintained and free of litter. Peaceful atmosphere: Unlike some other beaches in India, Paradise Beach is relatively quiet and uncrowded. This made it the perfect place to relax and unwind.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 31 December 2023
- Surbhi Dewan9 contributionsHow to reach paradise beachYou have to take boat from Chunnambar Boat House to go to paradise beach and that's the only way. They have huge parking space, so you don't have to worry about any parking issue. They have two types of boat rides: Motor and Speed Boat. The speed boat charges are expensive as compared to Motor boat. We chose motor boat for ourselves and we didn't regret even a single bit for it. The best time to go there is in the evening. The beach is clean, and they just have shower area, which was unsanitary.Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 8 January 2024
- REKHA MThiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), India7 contributionsParadise beach ⛱️Paradise beach is one of the cleanest beaches I have visited in India. The water was crystal clear without any flotsam or debris. No vendors coming and nagging you to buy knick knacks.it was a beautiful day and I enjoyed the long walk along the seashore. Definitely worth a visit. The only irritant were the auto driver's who quarrel with tourists and force you to pay exorbitant rates for a drop back to Pondy.Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 25 January 2024
- Abhi5684Jaipur, India169 contributionsNot worth the effort it takes to reach thereIt’s a beach you need to visit via a boat service. The boats run at specific intervals and one to return back on the designated time. We reached there in the evening probably it was the last boat, after reaching we had spent hardly 30 mins and we were asked to reach the boat boarding area as it was there closing time. One can visit other beaches which are easier and cleaner than this one, such as eden beach.Visited January 2024Travelled with familyWritten 18 February 2024
- Nitin DobhalGurugram (Gurgaon), India45 contributionsMust visit beach in PondicherryParadise beach is a must visit attraction in Pondicherry. You reach here through a boat ride from Chunnambar boat house. The journey was beautiful and serene. Paradise beach is a complete sand beach and you can enjoy the seashore with tides coming to the shore continuously. We collected numerous sea shells while walking on the beach. Restaurants are there, offering some food and drink items, that you can take while relaxing. Some water games and ATV rides also were available. Take note of the timings carefully, as the last entry from boat house was 4 pm, and last back ferry from beach to boathouse was at 5.30 pm.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 25 March 2024
- HOMPRSNew Delhi, India516 contributionsVisit during early morning/eveningThere are two ways to reach here one by road and other via ferry. Reach chunnambar boat house early morning or evening. The ferry option is better as it gives you access to the adjacent Eden beach also. The way via road is a bit longer and the section of the beach open to these tourist is restricted to some area only. Note 1) It's dangerous to cross the sea-river connection between paradise and Eden beach (though looks easy). The water under current can pull you away. 2) Paradise beach is divided into two sections (on for via road visitors and one for via jetty visitors). Jetty one is betterVisited December 2023Travelled soloWritten 8 May 2024
- Traian P34 contributionsNice beach in TassosParadise beach is one of the best in Tassos. I went with my family there, sandy beach, smooth entrance, wonderful scenery, perfect combination of mountain and sea. They also have some good food made locally, shaded terraces with cold beer. I recommend this beach over others in Tassos!Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 29 August 2024

There was a big hype made about this place through many websites and reviews. But it is not worth at all.
We went by road to this place. There is an approach road through villages to reach here. One new company called "Sand Dunes Resorts" are developing this place. A fully commercialized place. You can see the greediness for money in all the eyes over here.
First the approach road from through the villages are so worst that on every feet there a pot hole and bumps and what not. Some money may be spent to lay a decent road to reach here. Then this "SandDune Property" is still being developed, the so called restaurant, and boat rides are still under development. One person approached us to take us on a motor boat ride. I asked about the charges. He simply said it will be 500 rupees per person. I asked what you will do for that money. We will take you on motor boat one round. Wow, what an entertainment. People are ready to rip you off. Dont fall pray to them. Hope once the property is developed then they may charge an entry fee also. Dont Go there. Never. Nothing to see except a sea with waves.

To access the Paradise beach one would need to take motor boats/speed boats/house boats from Chunnambar boat house (about 7 kms from White Town). The minimum priced ticket for an adult is 354 Rs (as of Dec 2020) round trip on a motor boat. The last motor boat from the beach starts at 5:30 PM, so please plan your visit accordingly. The boat ride to the beach is super awesome. Went through the Chunnambar river backwaters and took us through to the beach. The lush green surroundings of the backwater and the width of the river makes the experience serene and calm. Reminded us somewhat of Kerala (Alleppey) backwaters.
However once you reach the beach, it is just like any other normal beach. Way too much sea weeds. Otherwise a clean beach, sand is very dry (doesn’t get stuck - unless of course you have taken a dip into the sea). They have commercialized the place a bit too much, hence you would see lot of play/sports areas for kids and adults. Again, I would say as only beach experience I would rate it only 3 stars, however due to the journey through the backwaters surely an overall 4. One time visit if you are staying in Pondi.

Hands down, the most beautiful beach in the state. It's a bit far from the city but it's worth it. All the water activities take place here and you can get some gorgeous sunset views. Boat rides through the palm trees, walking along the beach, chilling in shacks, definitely the best.

One of the coolest and cleanest beaches I've ever been!!! I loved this paradise Beach because of its environment and cleanliness. There is a small restaurant available which serves sea food fast food cold drinks etc., even coconut water is also available at stalls. I tried prawns and other fishes there which was too much yummy 😋. Also they have washrooms too for changing and refreshing One can have an excellent experience of beach. it takes a travel from boat house to beach.. The beach with changing color of sky and water is an ultimate as the time progresses in the day. . I would totally suggest this paradise Beach for having a good time!

The government had taken over and charging people 70 INR for entry to the beach. The water activities are charged exorbitantly and above the rates mentioned in the list there. It's very noisy. They play heavy music to get attention to the shops there which is annoying. Not worth the visit.

Visited this place with family and very much liked it for it's cleaniness and scenery. One can reach the beach using the boat ride 15 min, from boathouse. They have two ticket counter, one for entry and parking ticket and other one inside is for boat ticket, charges 354 per adult. Counter opens at 9:30, which is a problem as you miss the morning time at the beach. It's a must visit place in Pondicherry if you are a beach lover.

Paradise Beach can be safely added to the 'must visit' list of visitors to Pondicherry. The beach is on the northern side of the town and the way to reach the it makes it even more interesting. The beach is next to the Chunnambar Estuary, and the access is via a 15-20 minute boat ride. Children would find the visit exciting with a good boat ride as well as an opportunity to play with the sea waves.
The striking feature of the beach is the cleanliness of the area. I found that there is an army of maintenance staff who diligently picks up garbage, coconut shells etc and keeps the beach clean. The sand too seems to have a very distinct shade of white. This and the clear blue sea makes the area look scenic with good scope for photography experiments.
There are stalls selling tender coconuts and two restaurants serving snacks and drinks. There are sand buggies available on hire, and a 'rain dance' area for visitors who want to get drenched in that way. There are toilets and very basic facilities for visitors to bath & change their clothes, but there are no cloak rooms/lockers to keep personal belongings safe. When travelling as a small group one person may have to act as a sentry/guard.
The beach has safe areas marked and there are also life guards available. The life guards are not having any distinctive uniform which seems to be an area for improvement. The only way to identify them is to listen to their whistles or check if they are carrying a whistle.

Great place to spend a few hour, nice white soft sand and clean water. You can splash around in the shallow water, not allowed to go in deep water. Lots of life guards around. There are two restaurants with average tasting slightly pricey food.

Paradise beach involves around 30 mins of boating to reach from the Boat Club. It's a secluded clean beach area where one can have many fun activities. The boating experience is also a good one. Speed boats are also available, to add the thrill element.

During my recent visit got to know there is a road (towards left) as soon as you enter the lane of Paradise Beach. This is motorable road straight to the beach and the experience is far better than the one you visit via boat.
