Beautiful colourings and magnificent craftsmanship all chipped away centuries ago by craftsmen using chisels on granite.
Pretty remarkable.
Remember to dress appropriately.

This is also one of the very old temples in Puduchery. Inner space is calm and soothing. Few small temples or templets are house inside the campus. Murals and idols of deities are nicely crafted and beautifully colored. Most of them represent ancient legends from Hindu scriptures.

This is one of the oldest , well-known and biggest temples in Pondicherry-
this is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. it is located in the Mahatma Gandhi Road of the city. The Deity inside sanctum sanctorum is of Lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu’s idol is around 5 feet in height. The deity was so beautiful and pleasant as if it is blessing every one.
Lord Vishnu's ten forms are depicted by the statues in the around the main shrine. These are realistic and admirable.
In the temple Lord Narasimha's form is kept behind the main deity.
Apart from Vishnu, Goddess lakshmi is also wprsshiped here. Hanuman and Garuda are other deities present along with Lord Ganesh.
I enojoyed the visit here. I was so satisfied and blessed after the darshans.
Over all a visit to this temple will deginitely make you feel satisfied and blessed.

This was the most easy and satisfying and spiritual visit in minimum time.

We visited the temple during dasara. We saw many dolls arranged within the temple and it was very economical . Heard that every year during last 5 days of the dasara , they have an exhibition of the dolls and sell them .

I didn't enter the temple as it was closed in the afternoon. But it looks gorgeous from outside. The street itself is a great shopping destination in Pondicherry.

It's great achievement in human life You can make a Darsham of Lord varadaraja swamy once in life if you are above 50 years or twice if you are teen. The idols is taken out from water pond (gundam) once in 40 years and kept 30days in reclined position and 18 days in standing position .After 48 days again the statue is kept in a silver cage and immersed back in pond (gundam) for 40 years. It's real wonder. The statue is 12 feet in height and made from FIG tree. The statue is made more than 3000 years back.every poit is a wonder about varadaraja swamy.we thank to Varadaraja swamy by giving me a chance to see his NIJA PADA darshan on 07th Aug 2019 at 1500 hrs (0300pm)in my life.which is unforgetable golden memories in our life.
