César Manrique should be better known. a pioneer of eco-tourism, of making buildings that treat the environment as part of the architecture Manrique was also an artist... Well worth the visit this museum is but one among others on Lanzarote The volcanic island tourist getaway...

This visit to Manrique's original home is well worth a visit to anyone remotely interested in art. Built around the volcanic landscape, using everything naturally available, it is absolutely fascinating and well worth the entrance fee.

amazing place to see the work that went into creating the brilliant house is breath taking, you get to see the artists work and films play as you go round telling you about the man himself.

We drove here and almost passed it as it is really quite small. However it is an interesting homage to the local artist , along with a few exhibits of other artists. The lay out of the building itself interested me the most , and I think it has been set out really well. There is a nice small place... More

Easily found and glad we did. Able to wander through the rooms at your own pace and find out all about the man whose influence has so shaped the Lanzarote of today. Cleverly built within the lava. Interesting art work and architecture.
