We did the 3 Volcano tour which was very nice. Our guide - Sara - was enthusiastic and very caring for everything. Especially in the most windy and rainy day. That made the trip much harder for me. So a normaly easy walking trip could have become a terrible one but Sara managed to make us feel fine. We also... More

We were picked up and delivered back to our hotel in Costa Teguise by our guide for the day Carmen. She was such a lovely person who obviously loved & cared about the environment she lived in, and certainly knows her birds, and where we were most likely to find them! We had excellent views of the big three, bustard,... More

We were picked up by minibus from our villa at 10am and got back around 4pm. We were driven to the tourist information centre at Timanfaya Natural park (up the road from the national park) and our guide, Adolfo, who is a geologist, talked us through the formation of various types of volcanoes etc. We were then driven through lava... Such a day in the desert! Our guide Adolfo certainly knew where to take us in this barren looking area to catch our dream birds - stone curlews, cream coloured coursers with a chick in tow ( such a quick handover of food from adult to child), bustards and even a pair of trumpeter finches. Shrike, ravens, pippets galore and... More

Carmen really knows her birds (send volcanoes but we were on the bird safari). We had excellent views of the big three, bustard, creme coloured coursors and stone Curlew. We even saw a bustard displaying which was magical. I am an not recommend this tour highly enough.

I thoroughly enjoyed my Birdwatcing Safari with Carmen. What an interesting, thoughtful, caring person she is. The weather wasn't kind that day with mist, rain and wind (just felt like home!) but Carmen was determined to make the most of our day. My bird list included Bertelot's Pipit, Canary Raven, Houbara Bustard, Cream-coloured Courser, Spectacled Warbler, Barbary Partridge, White Wagtail,... More

My wife & I have just had a fantastic day out on the botanical cliff hike. My request for no cheese in my sandwich was remembered and our guide Sara was knowledgable, friendly and an excellent guide. We had a small group and the tour consisted of a mountain hike and a coastal walk with many variations of plants and... More

While lacking the glitzy theatre of the National Park tour (where the buses run) this is a far better way to get a sense of the landscape. Expert guides (Sara and Elena, ably assisted by Emma) briefed us on the geology, history, fauna and flora of the area. 4x4s take you to areas that are hard to reach from the... More

The walk to Monte Corona and surroundings was memorable. We were only a small group which gave us ample opportunity to chat with the very friendly and knowledgeable guide, Sara, who knew everything there was to know about the plants and birds we saw. The views were spectacular. The walk was around 9km or 5+ miles over four hours with... More

Sara was a great guide - both knowledgeable and friendly. She was very enthusiastic and her enthusiasm was infectious. She regularly checked that we were OK on the walk and we were really pleased to get to the top of the Volcan La Corona - the views were amazing! We'd love to do another walk if we're able to return... More
