About
Water babies will love nothing more than a trip to Lanzarote Aquarium where they can see the largest collection of majestic marine life in the Canary Island. One of the Aquarium main goals is to educate visitors about the sea- that's why we have created displays with information about the importance of protecting the environment. For example ´The Aquarium Garbage´ an exhibition that explores the damage being done to the ocean, and what needs to be done to see fish that live in the beautiful blue beneath the waves. There are plenty of native Canarian species to spot throughout the visit such as turtles, blowfishes and tropical clown fish. The shark tunnel will delight young visitors and the hands- on experience in the touch- pools full of spiky sea urchins and slimy sea cucumbers.

- TL10Scotland, United Kingdom256 contributionsNice small aquariumNice small aquarium which is a great introduction for toddlers to the underwater world. Staff very friendly and talks were all in English. Nice explanation of the conservation efforts supported by the aquarium during the turtle feeding.Visited December 2022Travelled with familyWritten 22 December 2022

Under 4s are free of charge so we only paid for 2 adults. Lots of different species to see including turtles and sharks and cute gift shop with lovely soft toysVisited January 2023Travelled with familyWritten 10 January 2023
- Smiffy3009Leicester, United Kingdom40 contributionsUnderwhelmingJust left after walking around and waiting for feeding which was watching some sharks swim around in a small tank not want to be fed! Some construction work being done, very small display tanks and not a lot for marine life. Only cost around £30 for one adult and two kids so what do you expect. I’d give it a miss.Visited February 2023Travelled with familyWritten 13 February 2023
- AshleySheffield, United Kingdom15 contributionsUnderwhelming but okay!It was an alright aquarium but we finished it within half an hour! Very small with lots of construction going on. If you don’t mind spending money for a small trip out it’s fine, we found it a little under whelming and waited a while for a shark feeding that we were told was happening but didn’t happen.Visited February 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 17 February 2023
- rekso23 contributionsLovely little aquariumA lovely little aquarium with very pleasant staff. My two little girls really enjoyed it and was even given the chance to touch and hold a star fish!! The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and although a small place (you can do it in 20-30 mins) it was very enjoyable. €45 for a family ticket I think was reasonable and it allowed us to kill some time before the flight home. Lots of places to grab something to eat right outside and plenty of parking. Feeding time was 12.30 so try and make it around this time !!Visited February 2023Travelled with familyWritten 24 February 2023
- barhumbug2014Iver Heath, United Kingdom190 contributionsShort Excursion but Nice.Near hotel I was staying in & cheap. Quite small but has a few larger rays, fish & small sharks. Not many turtles in on this day. The staff seem passionate about their aquarium. A nice 20 minutes of my life.Visited March 2023Travelled soloWritten 23 March 2023
- Mama MitchWorthing, United Kingdom43 contributionsGood value 2hour visit - great experienceIt cost 15E for adults and 10E for a child so great value. Not the biggest aquarium I have ever seen but still full of bits and pieces. Bring your own lunch and sit in the small amphitheater style seating in front of the large tank (there are two and the second one is better). We were able to sit there for half an hour eating and drinking, chatting and laughing with the very best view. The hermit crab with the HUGE gorgeous shell was very impressive and the smaller hermit crab was in one of the open tanks that children can put their hands into and get there noses up close to the action (there were about 6 of these in total). You could touch starfish and much more. The walk through tunnel is pretty tiny and the view is 2 small sharks so I would say the best part is the larger tanks you can sit by. The huge stingrays were gorgeous and seem to sleep in the darker back corner but that’s where the bubble is that a child can sit in which means you were looking directly down in them. We had a great time and I think maximum 3hrs but more likely 2hrs. The area around it is tired and dirty looking so it’s one of those go there and then go elsewhere places. They have a whole area where rescued turtles are kept while the recuperate before being released back into the wild. When we were there 1 turtle was in-house and had 2 missing flippers so he may be there to stay. They have one of those collector coin machines like the places in the UK so you will need a euro coin and a 5cent coin to take one of those home. We collect them so happy to see a machine there.Visited April 2023Travelled with familyWritten 8 April 2023
- KL753 contributionsInteresting visitHad a good time here with my family last week. My kids could have spent hours going back and forth to look at the tanks. Nice lady who worked there took time to speak to them about the fish and sharks, answered their questions and showed them a shark's jaw and stingray tail. It was a chilled out and interesting experience- a welcome break from pool/beach. It's not a big place but that was part of the appeal for us.Visited April 2023Written 17 April 2023
- Grainne D6 contributionsDisappointingEntry is though a poorly stocked souvenir shop. When we descended the stairs there was a horrible mouldy smell. It took us and the the kids (12, 10 & 6) about 1 hour or less to go through museum. I only spotted 2 turtles even though they said they rescue a lot of them that ingest plastic at sea and release once cured. The shark tank has 2 small sharks . As previously pointed out, fish descriptions are on a rolling computer screen in a few places. So you effectively have to read and memorise the descriptions as you walk through the aquarium as you see different fish. A simple board at each tank would be more effectiveVisited June 2023Travelled with familyWritten 2 July 2023
- Jack CornellWitham, United Kingdom15 contributionsFishy & PrettyIt’s a pretty small aquarium but for €15 per adult I’d say it’s worth the price. Loads of different fish like stingrays, starfish, sharks etc. They also had interactive parts where you can touch fish. Overall I’m happy with the experienceVisited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 7 July 2023

I visited today for the first time with my wife, we both really enjoyed our visit and spent time watching the different tanks, each fish has their own personality. Keeping fish is very difficult and expensive, rescuing and rehabilitation of sea animals takes a lot of care and money, seeing reviews that the Turtle in the tank (pictured) is sad and upsetting, yes it is. The lovely people at the aquarium have been looking after the Turtle who probably will never be able to return to the ocean because of damage done by human waste in the ocean. The aquarium is a place to learn about marine life and the damage we are doing to it with our waste, we should be upset to see the damage humans inflict on sea life, support the aquarium, rather than complain talk to the staff and discuss how they are working with marine life and support them with a visit. Many thanks to the staff for their dedication to care for marine life and educational experience, they get no financial support as charities do, 15 euro is well spent.

We took our three children here. Please do not visit this place. I feel sick I paid €30 for two adults.
This place is run down and the sea animals are not cared for at all. The poor turtle looked sad and is kept in a very small area just enough room to turn around in. His eyes were sad and dull. He looked depressed.
This place needs reporting and closing down.
Took us ten minutes to walk around. My children did not like it.
I will be reporting it.

This was a great way to spend our morning. The staff were very friendly and informative. We went on a Monday so managed to see the feeding of the sharks and other fish at midday and 12.30. Out 6 year old son loved it, there are a couple of hands on Little Rock pools and plenty of things to see. The Turtle was so lovely to see and the baby one across the way was bobbing about quite happily. The turtle has been rescued as it lost a flipper due to plastic pollution. It’s great to be so close up to such magnificent creatures! Defo worth a visit, your ticket is valid all day so we went in did a full tour then nipped out for coffees and a snack and went back in to see the feeding session. Worthwhile and not expensive!

I am honestly speechless and saddened bythe cruelty on display in this aquarium. I have never felt so awful for funding a place that keeps it's animals in such appalling conditions- the sharks were small and in a very tiny tank and the poor turtle was in a tank around the equivalent of a bath tub, far too small for it. It looked so sad, I left in tears. I feel so guilty paying money for something where the species obviously aren’t cared for or have appropriate space. I walked out feeling so depressed for these creatures stuck there living in those circumstances.

Prices were €10 for kids, €15 adults, €12 seniors. Steep steps to get down to the aquarium. Very dark inside. Some big tanks but not many fish in some of them and not particularly well labelled. There were a few "hands in" pools, but again not much in them and didn't exactly fill my grandkids with enthusiasm. The best bit was the large tank/tunnel with a couple of small sharks. We stayed about 30 minutes.

Great aquarium, we went last year and since then, they have added a baby turtle, 6 more sharks and lots more other fish, the rays are huge and the stuff are really friendly and are constantly upgrading things. Definitely worth a visit.

Visited on a Wednesday and managed to catch the Turtles getting fed. Quite sad to see the injured older Turtle but she's very well looked after and wouldn't survive in the wild. It is only a small aquarium but really is lovely and so well kept. Staff on the reception desk were lovely and very helpful. Would definitely return if ever in Costa teguise again

Great half a day trip. Lots of information about each tank as-well as feeding times for the rays and sharks. Very good to see the rescue turtle as he probably wouldn't survive in the ocean. Good gift shop with friendly staff who speak good english and were very easy to understand.

A great establishment which seems very established. We were very impressed with their work on conservation and it would appear that that is been going on for several years. We really did enjoy our visit and went around three or four times to take it all in! Great website with loads of information and English translation. Just search for it through a browser. I hope that this helps.

Is the aquarium suitable for my 4 year old who uses a wheelchair. Will she see things.

I would say yes. They have their own entrance for strollers and wheelchairs, and even though some of the tanks are a bit high up, many of them is definitely so that she can see everything. The little shark tunnel and the big tank with the biggest fishes she can definitely see everything.

We paid something like 23 euros for 2 adults and a 3 year old. AS people have said it's not too far. It's also quite near a little shopping centre with a few bars and restaurants. About a 5 minute walk.
