The fort is very impressive - opens out from the bazaar. Very dilapidated and unsafe so not possible to go inside but a walk around the grounds is well worth it. There is a museum of arms and paintings which is also very interesting with some remarkable glass chandeliers. Sadly the who place is in dire need of restoration.

Controlled by the Army, this incredible building is mainly inaccessible. The Durbar hall is open to the public and contains a dusty but interesting collection of arms and furniture although the authorities should be ashamed at the condition of the collection and the hall itself. Guided tours do take you through some parts of the former Royal apartments (Quila Androon) but these are not properly advertised.

I went to Moti Bagh Palace. Moti Bagh Palace is counted as one of the most attractive and well known tourist places in Patiala. A four storied composition, this palace is designed wonderfully with gigantic stone walls and its opening is in the shape of an arch. It is great place to go.

A must visit if you are in Patiala. Part of this property houses NSBNIS, a sports institution. So for that part you need to get permission at the entrance and then you would be allowed to go on foot to see the buildings (20th century)and the grounds. The other part is know as Sheesh Mahal which is earlier palace of the erstwhile rulers. Was under renovation and the most interesting and marvellous portion know as sheesh mahal wasn’t open to public thus far. Same building houses a medal gallery for which on needs to get permission from the director of museums and culture Punjab. Well Naderful collection of Bhupindra Singh and pretty precious therefore the restricted viewing.Grounds are worth a visit even if you do not get permission for the gallery and all. The rope bridge being the main attraction. Visit I Feb is worth it as this month they hold a cultural festival and hold exhibition in sheesh mahal grounds.
