Loved this walk. Started early morning. Flat terrain, lovely mix of nature with easy paving and sand tracks. Lots of gorgeous glimpses to the ocean and sand tracks leading to the beach.

Thought that we would go for bike ride on the road to the spit, then we found this Federation walk which leads into another track to the spit, great scenery.

Enjoyed wandering back along the walkway after our dinner out, Some great views back along the beach to the lights of Surfers and Tweed Head with the sound of the waves in the dark.

I think they have to be on a lead but on the beach we let ours run. You have to be away from the flags. Lovely beach to walk on
