Really enjoyed this beach. I visited at the very end of the low season just as the hotels and restaurants were opening for the season. At times I had the beach to myself. The beach is beautiful but you need water shoes or durable flip flops for the "sand" (volcano pebbles). The water is clear and great for swimming. If... More

We visited the beach in Kamari but it's not very child friendly. The beach is pretty much all pebbles and hard to walk on. There are lots of restaurants and cafes along the road which you can sit at and you can park yourself on a sun bed but for the kids, they can't really play in the sand.

Our favorite beach in Santorini. Very peaceful and less crowded. Must jump from rock. It has the most clear water... Even with a black "sand" bottom. Bring water shoes for summertime. It gets SUPER HOT and you might "grill" your feet! :)

Kamari is a lovely stop when when you're looking for some down time. The beach is not exactly soft so do bring shoes and a towel as you can't lay on rocks. The sea is stunning and the cliffs are scenic. The beach is very rocky and may hurt to walk on for most people so it is best to... More

Kamari beach is definitely one, of the best beach in Santorini, stretching on the eastern part of the island. Like most of the beaches here, it's composed of black sand, tiny volcanic rocks and pebbles. I strongly recommend bringing with you a pair of beach shoes (or you buy them here, for about 7euro), that would protect the soles of... More

Nice beach with black sand for a relaxing stay. People are smiling and friendly even if we don't buy things from them. Reasonable price in comparing with Oia village.
