We did not know what to expect when we saw the "road sign", such a wonderful open space with so much to feast your eyes on. So tranquil, peaceful and amazing work has been carried out. So many photo opportunities, even the lizards kept still for photos !, you can happily spend many an hour here or two. Ideal spot... More

A series of formal French gardens, Italian spaces and an English arcade around the manor house, where the family still stays on occasion. Just down the road from Lascaux II and well worth making an effort to view.

We have spent a week in the Dordogne and visited many tourist attractions. This one was poor value for money. We expected to be able to get in amongst the garden but access is denied. Most of what you get to do is view from a distance. Don't dare walk on the grass! I consider Marqueyssac to be way superior.... More

Our visit was early in the Spring season but all of our senses were engaged. Many birds to listen to and watch, beautiful fragrance of the Box woods and early Spring blooms, delightful topiaries and beautiful grounds to touch and view. A delightful garden to explore and amazing that it has been in the same family for many generations. The... More

Personally I found the Topiary a bit tedious after a while - it is great and there is a long walk around and through it with some good views over the river - but it does lack variety. The onsite restaurant was good and made for a pleasant break at the end.

The gardens are topiary gardens with a lot of variety. One of the most beautiful gardens I have ever visited. I didn't plan to go there, but read so many good descriptions that I decided to squeeze it in and was glad I did! The staff persons that I had contact with were exceptionally helpful and nice.

We are pleased that we took the time to visit these gardens. As gardeners we found the French garden layouts interesting. Do not miss the white garden. There are good views around the surrounding area. If anything the 12.50€ per person entrance fee a little steep.

The gardens are beautifully maintained and manicured with stunning vistas at every turn. The old stone manor, stables and chapel give the gardens a sense of place and a time gone by. Enjoy the peace and quiet as you wander through the seven gardens and admire the clipped topiary, trees and flowers. The restaurant serves light meals and has a... More

Less of a visit, more of an experience. Eyrignac garden is a unique blend to reset the busy mind, de-stress, look and listen. I can't imagine it could possibly exist anywhere but in mid-France, the manor's architecture, hedge planting and endless work to create and maintain the hand clipped hedges and topiary art forms is amazing. Saunter through the seven... More

Entitled as the best garden in the area, it didn't come up to scratch for us. Expensive at 12.50 euro each, ok if you like grass you can't walk on and topiary borders hedges and trees. I expect there are better ways we will spend our time and money elsewhere.
