Quite nice but simply too expensive just to see a beach. There are nicer options further away if you have a car and are flexible which are free of charge.

Excellent beach with good, clean sand, gentle drop off, great waves, changing facilities and showers behind - so it should be at 70RMB per head to get in. You can rent a gazebo, tables and chairs by the hour (but 400RMB cash deposit). Lots of lifeguards. It was very crowded the day we went (a weekday in August) but me... More

The beach looks nice because very seldom there is some sand here. All is rather clean (probably except of water). But the place is not bad.

I would have to come back some other time. It was cold and windy when I went there last month on April. We walked around the beach, hiked all the way to the end. And the sculptures are great art works.

Went here during the Qingming festival, so there were a lot of people, but still a nice place for a visit. Taking the double decker bus was absolutely worth it, 30 kuai for 1 day or 40 kuai for 2, and it can take you to all the major sites around Zhoushan (including here). Make sure to bring your own...
