Beautiful and impressive Buddhist temple with a solemn and serene atmosphere. Maybe my favorite temple in Putuoshan before Puji temple. It has an air of Lingyin temple in Hangzhou.

I spent a week in Fayu Temple. Every day in the temple, where was event going on. If you are religious or just curious about this religion, this is the best temple that you should never miss.

We walked from our hotel to the temple, the road and landscape leading to the temple are well maintained and beautiful. To witness monks practicing the prayer was a great experience. A lot of people come to this temple to pray to Guan Yin statute, known as the Chinese Goddess.
A must visit for a taste of Chinese culture.

This is my favorite temple in the world. The monks are friendly, the food is simple yet delicious. And the buildings/grounds are lovely. Highly recommend a visit. Come early before the crowds.

A MUST Visit when you are in Putuoshan.

Serene and quiet environment.

Be sure to walk around the compound and marvel at the architectural of the temple.

I believe it was just recently renovated.

The previous Qing dynasty emperor had ordered an entire building from his palace to be rebuild/re-installed in this temple.

Typical temple. Should be avoided during the holidays - a lot of people. Interesting but looks like many others.

This is a lovely temple complex. Try to go there late in the afternoon to avoid the crowds. If you practice buddhism, then you will be very happy here and this is the place to be to pray to Guanyin.
