This is my favorite temple in the world. The monks are friendly, the food is simple yet delicious. And the buildings/grounds are lovely. Highly recommend a visit. Come early before the crowds.

A MUST Visit when you are in Putuoshan. Serene and quiet environment. Be sure to walk around the compound and marvel at the architectural of the temple. I believe it was just recently renovated.

Typical temple. Should be avoided during the holidays - a lot of people. Interesting but looks like many others.

This is a lovely temple complex. Try to go there late in the afternoon to avoid the crowds. If you practice buddhism, then you will be very happy here and this is the place to be to pray to Guanyin.

Exquisite temples with cravings. Not as crowded as puji temple. Humble vegetarian lunch with locals at RMB 5 each.
