If you can only fit in one visit then try to find out when the Lavender is at it's peek. When the weather is nice you will not see a more lovely field of Lavender locally. I often go out of my way to walk this area so I can see the changing colours throughout the year. Visit can cost... More

I came here with a few friends to pick some lavender! It was a lovely experience as I filled my bag to brim with lavender stems. We enjoyed eating in the cafe afterwards too, there was lavender lemonade, tea, lavender cakes, scones and more :).

This is a lovely place to go with the family on a good day, and of course when the lavender is in full bloom. You paye a small amount and then you can cut lavender to your hearts content. There is a cafe there and an opportunity to buy lavenders, which there are many different sorts.

Loved cutting lavender and filling up a little bag which you are given. Such a beautiful place and the sunflower field was also impressive with massive sunflowers also for sale! Had tea and scones which were delicious too. Perfect summer activity.

Hitchin Lavender is such a lovely place. Once you've been, you'll be sure to return. It is such a shame they close so early in September. The lavender fields are wonderful. We picked a bag full of lavender to take home and my children had a great time running up and down the rows. There are a lot of bees... More

Beautiful lavender fields, the smell was great, the constant humming of bees in the background. We enjoyed picking the lavender to bring home too, suggest wearing trousers so you don't get stung. Definitely a day trip that suits dry weather but would recommend to all friends and family.

I took my kids and disabled husband at the end of the season. The cafe and lavender fields are easily accessible for wheelchairs, the fields are a bit bumpy though but not a problem for a power wheelchair. As it was the end of the season it was free to go in and we paid £4.50 to fill a bag... More

My Grandchildren both boys and girls love our yearly visits to pick their own lavender and when ready to see who can pick the biggest sunflower.Good picnic area with sun shade the weather is always good here or we are just lucky. A shop and cafe also on site and of course toilets a must have with children.
