Had time to kill on trip back to Orlando from Daytona. Looked at a map and decided why not. Turned out to be a great stop. We climbed the lighthouse and we were rewarded with a great view. I'll not lie 275 steps straight up is a chore but was worth it. The out buildings were also very interesting to... More

Great place to visit for several hours of fun. climbing the light house is a task , but worth it for the view if you are able. Also the animal rescues is worth the visit also, only $4 to get in and you and hand feed a sting ray

I thoroughly enjoyed the history and culture found in the lighthouse museums. It was very pretty and a well maintained area. Climbing the lighthouse was so fun, and will be something I always remember. The cheap price to get in is most definitely worth it. There is so much to be seen from the lighthouse. There are mangrove forests, beach... More

What a magnificent historic and functional structure. We arrived on a Tuesday afternoon when very few other people were touring the property. The lighthouse is part of a historic group of buildings erected in the late 1800s, including three lightkeepers' houses, a building designated solely to the history of lighthouse lights, a generator building which houses World War II artifacts... This is a very good way to get a little exercise, see an amazing panoramic view of the ocean and inlet, all while learning interesting historical facts about an adorable, amazing lighthouse.

Very beautiful excursion to make to Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse. I went on a Sunday, and it was not crowded. Very beautiful staircase to the top, 204 steps up, 204 steps down. Quite a view! The museum is very interesting, well put together to understand the history meaning of the lighthouse and the area. It is kept immaculate!! Worth... More

About 200 stairs up with a landing between each 22, so it's doable if you take your time! The view was beautiful. The museum was very nice - very interesting history in each building. And of course, the lighthouse is GORGEOUS - this is absolutely one of my favorite lighthouses (I've seen many!).

Very fun and interesting place to explore. The climb up the lighthouse steps is arduous but well worth the view for miles in all directions. Lots to learn about lighthouse technology on the cutting edge of physics in its time.

Very well kept lighthouse and grounds. Like all climbable lighthouses, has an exercise element to it. Over 200 steps and slightly narrow steps compared to others. BUT, it is well worth the effort to get atop this brick beacon. Great views!
