Food was good. Each plate had plenty of food. The steak I had was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The wait staff was friendly.

Very nice beach. Everyone can find what they like - beach bars and restaurants, water sports options or a private parts which are a little further from Cumbuco (approximately 20 - 30 minutes of walking along the sea).

It's crowded only during public holidays and weekends. Standard working days are totally fine.

Sea has some waves. Not extremely high, but still not good for small kids. But it's definitely a great fun for adults.

The beach is very long and it offers whatever You expect - You can find crowded parts with some beach bars and restaurants, You can also find some water sports, but if You prefer a private moment, then a few minutes walk will take You to some parts of the beach without any people around.

Sand is amazing, it's very fine. Water is clean with some waves (maybe too big for some people).

Having been to the beaches at the east coast of Fortaleza (Morro Branco, Praia das Fontes and Canoa Quebrada) we also decided to take a day trip to de Praia de Cumbuco at the western side of town. Pick up from hotel around 0730 hrs. Beach is much closer (only 45 minutes drive) while the beach is as nice while the dunes are even higher for the buggy ride (with of without emotion?!). For RS 35,00 (less than € 10,00) the bus of Planetur brings you there. Return around 17.00 hrs. At the place where they drop you off you can also have lunch while in the weekend there is live music.

The beach is long sandy and windy
There are probably nicer beaches as you go north and further away from fortaleza.
Daily strong wind makes it the perfect place for kite surfing.
If you do like kite this is your place but there's not much more to do

The beach has a whole range of options for seating with food and drink. Being Dutch it was great to see the Brazilian way of people enjoying each others company and all sharing a good time. Hawkers present shrimp, grilled cheese and other things in very friendly way without being intrusive at all. Nice swiing in a modest surf and altogether a great day on the beach

Very nice beach. Ideal place for exciting adventures like riding a jeep on the sand dunes or going down on a rope to rainwater, undersoilwaterm warm pool. Or, you'd rather having a relaxation massage.

This beach West of Fortaleza is frequently visited by tour operators from Fortaleza. It has nothing more to offer than buggy rides and short boat trips onto the ocean. The beach itself has nice sand composition but going into the water I’d advise water shoes especially for children. The stones are all rounded but still can hurt kids feet.
Food at the local bars visited by the tour operators, is ok - nothing special either. Due to high surf the water is not clear.
Taking the 30 minute boat trip into the ocean is worth the R$20 per person. Exciting and if you’re with an enthusiastic group very funny. We enjoyed it very much and was the highlight of the visit.
