This is so beautiful, and much less populated than Lake Tekapo. We stayed at Braemar station cottage, (see other review) highly recommended had great views of mount cook and night sky.

A view that you will remember forever. Makes you thank God for such a wonder. The almost an hour side trip to Mt Cook Village is so worth it. We visited on a summer day, can't wait to do it again in winter.

So pretty, warmer than Tekapo for swimming. Loved the reflections of the mountains and flowers in the lake.

What a beautiful lake!! You can witness all the blue colours in one lake, it can have reflection of the mountains around, have a stop on top of a hill around the lake at its bottom and enjoy the view
